As part of the major upgrades at a Geelong Refinery a large number of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piles were required to support the new structures which Wagstaff Piling were engaged on a design and construct basis to install.
The ability for Wagstaff Piling to complete the design resulted in construction savings for the project while also helping the project meet sustainability targets.
Our design allowed for a significant reduction in materials from the conforming solution reducing the overall carbon footprint of the project. The use of high supplementary cementitious concrete also helped to improve the sustainability of the project.
