Wagstaff Piling was contracted by Fitzgerald Constructions to design, in conjunction with Foundation Specialists Group, and construct the foundation and retention piles for Cement Australia’s new cement silo at Lorimer Street in Port Melbourne. The project required working closely with Fitzgerald Constructions, Cement Australia, IBAU Hamburg and Foundation Specialists Group to design and construct the works to meet the strict settlement criteria for the project. The works included the construction of CFA piles to around 40m in depth using Wagstaff Piling’s Llamada P-240TT CFA rig.
