Ventia had been engaged by Jemena to address significant contamination in Kendall Bay by undertaking in-situ remediation works. The contamination was associated with waste from former gasworks operations. Wagstaff Piling was engaged to undertake the design, construction and operation of a batch plant and mixing equipment capable of producing and delivering a pre-determined mix design; undertaking insitu-stabilisation of the contaminated sediments to the design profile; design and fabrication of a purpose-built sampling tool and the collection of post works samples; post-stabilisation trimming and the production of all required quality assurance records. Wagstaff Piling was chosen for its technical expertise and experience and its highly successful works were used to form the basis of Ventia proceeding with tenders for the full-scale remediation works.
