The CSM Gravity Wall was designed and constructed to support an open excavation depth of more than 5m below existing ground level. CSM panels were constructed with a Bauer RG19 rig and Bauer BCM5 cutter to a target depth of 8.5m to reach the existing underlying rock bund supporting the seawall. Total mixed volume for the project exceeded 12,000 m3. The client facilitated the efficient production rates achieved on the project through the removal of obstructions existing in the reclamation fill and by enabling the resequencing of works as obstructions were encountered.
