Construction of 39 low headroom Sectional Flight Auger piles within metropolitan Adelaide. Utililising one of our smaller rigs Wagstaff was able to install the 300mm diameter piles to a depth of 15m within the challenging ground conditions of soft alluvium and hard clays at depth.
The works were completed within an existing factory unit with approximately 6.5m clear headroom where we used sectional augers to extend the pile until the maximum drill depth was achieved. The piles were fully reinforced and dynamic load testing carried out to confirm pile capacity and structural integrity.
